This is probably late then)
But this time I thought, while I'm writing about Title Sequences, that I might as well add my favourite TV Shows right now!
So there you have it, my genius visible for all.
Here's my Top Ten TV Shows Currently.
I'm so obsessed with this show, it scares me. Truly. I got started on TWD in Season 3, put it off for almost until the mid-way of Season 4, and then marathoned the entire thing. I had tried to put it off for MONTHS and MONTHS. I'd tell my Dad and brother who did watch it that it was horrible, and gorey, and gross and totally not appropriate for us to watch.
So every Monday when it'd come on, I'll walk past the lounge and scoff at them.
Eventually, I started folding the towels while they'd watch, and with a twinge of annoyance in my voice, ask "Ugh, why are you watching this? Clearly Rick has issues and the Walkers are going to get them sooner or later because they're not taking the proper precautions" to slowly pretending to spray and wipe the coffee table while watching the TV and occasionally asking under my breath, "Why did he do that for? What does that mean for the group? Is that a bad thing?"
and now I'm here, so clearly obsessed with The Walking Dead and I'll totally go Full-Rick on someone who ever said that it isn't the most perfect and amazing and transformation show right now.
Example A of what I'll do to you.
UGGGGH. THISS SHOOOW.
Very close behind the The Walking Dead is The 100.
I can't even breathe whenever someone says anything about this show or anything mentioning the characters. It has consumed me, whole heart and soul. At first it started off as one of those REALLY cheesy and poorly acted Young Adult tv shows, but it has transformed into something way more than that. Not only does this show have incredible female characters that blow my mind, but also male characters that are written out and acted by such powerful actors. It's an Dystopian Post-Apocalyptic show (If you can't tell, it's my favourite genre of all time)
If there is one show that you want to watch that is fantastic for feminists, this is the show for you <3
Yasssssssssssss. Finally, a Marvel story about a woman! I was SO excited when it was announced to be coming out, and when I finally started marathoning it I instantaneously had a Girl-Crush on Peggy.
She honestly makes me feel like I could wear red lipstick, curl my hair, don my heels, and go kick some butt and destroy anyone who gets in my way. Peggy Carter is my Queen.
This show has come really far from when I started watching it. Dealing with Gotham when Bruce Wayne is just a boy, and Gordon is a young detective working to clean up Gotham from all the mafia clans and various villains that Batman inevitably deal with when he becomes Batman.
I absolutely adore this show, and not for the main characters in Gordon and Batman, but because I ADORE Cobblepot and Fish Mooney. My gosh, they stole that whole show with their amazing story and ugh how they act and ugggggh they're so amazing.
I've only just started to get into this show, but I love anything Marvel. Marvel is fantastic. Marvel is life. *Hands over all my money to Marvel*
Now, I may go through a lot of cartoons that help me reminisce about my childhood, but Survivor is the real childhood show that has lasted to this day. It's the show I've watched with my entire family, and now it's just me and my parents. It's amazing, and we even place bets on who we think will win after the third episode and it's just this whole been ordeal. When my older brother and I were kids, we would put on 'Survivor' like competitions in the backyard where we would have to outlast each other by how long we could stand on something like a bucket or a bin. We were such bored children and a little pyscho.
I have no regrets about this show. It is my secret obsession. I love all the costumes (I'm constantly critiquing the dresses and outfits worn by every single character) and it's just so dramatic and insane. I love it! The only part that I tend to scoff at all the relationships and sex scenes which is just..like...why? Your kingdom is under attack and you're doing the do...check your priorities.
I can blame my mum for this one, because of her undying love for James Spader and his unbelievable voice. At first I was a bit 'meh' towards it, and at times I still am, but there is something so intriguing about James Spader's character and the way he portrays him that I can't help but keep watching it! And I hate/love the fact that they keep toying with the idea that he is either her Father or her Lover (Which...just saying that out loud is kind of gross) or how he even knows her if he isn't either one of those options!
*James Spader Voice* I MUUUST KNOOOW.
*Cries tears and tears* I don't really know when I started loving this show, but it was most likely when I saw Ichabod and Abbie stand together and they are exactly a foot difference in height *Swooneyesandheartseverywhere*
While it unfortunately does have the style of 'Monster-Of-The-Week' where they somehow magically figure out how to save the day at the very last moment or even second, but this ship...
It will sail for eons and eons.
I really want to be America's Next Top Model...I have no idea why, and I don't even like modeling or the whole industry, but this show has been one of those guilty pleasures for years and years now. Something about the makeovers, the way they pose for each picture and photoshoot they have and all the Drama Llamas in the house makes for a great trashy show to marathon when you're sick or just want to feel better about yourself <3
