So I've finally decided on my Favourite Title Sequences!
5 seasons, and every single time it gets me so pumped that I just turn into one of thoseWacky Waving Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tubeman while singing, 'DUUUNANA DUANANA DUANANAN DUANANANA DUANANA DUANANAN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN DUANANA DUANANA DUANANA DUANANAN DUNANAN BWAAAAAAAAM' the entire time the theme song is playing. It gets me so pumped. Each scene of the title sequence is so symbolic and artistic and dark and ugggh. It's just so perfect.
I am so sorry about the quality, but this was all I was able to find. If you were able to see it a little bit more clearly, you've see how awesome it is with it's dramatic posing, the spooky soundtrack, that totally epic kiss, and all the cinematography. I love it all!
Yassssssss. This show is my guilty pleasure, let's be honest here. The first episode I watched, I was so shocked and in awe of the title sequence that I just knew it was going to be amazing and dark and, yes, sexy. If you can't tell, I have a thing for dark and cinematic title sequences.
Now, this wasn't the first season's title credits. To be honest, I don't even really remember it that much, but Season 2's title sequence is literally like - BWAAAAAM. BOOOOM. INTENSSSSSITY. BEEELLLLAMY BLAKE'S ATTRACTIVENESSSSS - and I love it. It's one of those title sequences that I will sit through the entire thing just so I can giggle maniacally that I'm about to watch my favourite TV Show (Besides The Walking Dead)
And don't you just love when the 00s smash into each other? Even Michael Bay couldn't produce something that epic.
My childhood in one monologue. I absolutely love this opening, and I'm sure if you go out into the middle of a populated area, and start spouting out this opening title, THERE WILL BE PEOPLE JOINING. It's iconic, and there have been so many parodies of it that I'm sure a lot of people know about it even if they haven't watched the show. There's always a sense of honour that overcomes me whenever I hear this title sequence, and it gets me pumped to go on a journey of epic proportions!
I used to run around the house screaming, 'I WANT TO CHAAAAANGE THE WOOOOORLD GJASLGJALSDNAJDCURRYYYY' over and over until my mum would yell at me to shut up. You can't stop the Anime, mum. You just can't.
This anime is also the other side of my childhood; the weird side of it, that is.
DUNDUNDUNDUN DUUUUUN DUUUN DAAA DUUUUUN. DUN DUN DUN, DAAAAHN (Proceed to noodle arm around the room like a grotesque airplane)
You get to sit through this after experiencing a mind shock every pre-title sequence scene that just makes you think, 'OH GOSH. what's happening what's going on I'm so confused but so ready for this. Bring it on'
Yes, I also used to run around the house yelling, 'IN A LAAAAND OFMYTH, AND A THYME OF MAGIC, THE DESSSSSSSTINY OF A great KINGDOM RESTS ON THE (SEXY)SHOULDERS OF A YOUNG MAN. HIS NAME...[insert whatever I thought was funny, and then run off giggling]'
This show was a very happy time for me and my parents who would watch it together (Yes, I watch TV shows with my parents and yes, it is one of my favourite pastimes. Keep your judgements to yourself 'cos I don't need that type of negativity in my life)
It's so bloody creepy. I can feel it in my bones. It sends chills down my flesh. It's full of itself...
(Get it? 'Cos he is a cannibal? Hannibal the cannibal?)
I love all those older sitcoms where they had an opening title that has a song that you can sing along to, and after a couple of episodes start despising because even though you don't want to, you're singing along with it at 400%.
There is no fourth intro. There is no season 9. Nope. I refuse.
